Dislocation
What is Dislocation?
A dislocation is an injury to a joint — a place where two or more of your bones meet — in which the ends of your bones are forced out of position. This painful injury temporarily immobilizes your joint, and can also be very painful. Dislocation is most common in the shoulders and fingers. If you suspect a dislocation, it is important to seek medical attention so they can return your dislocated bones to their proper positions. Any activity that involves contact sports, such as football and hockey, enables the risk of dislocating one of your joints.
